So i've been having this problem with my car for a while now, finally got round to doing the diagnostics too see what was wrong.
If i was going to replace them myself, what would be involved with that? parts, time, what needs to be taken off etc.
cheers

The inlet manifold needs to be removed. 5hrs start/finish for a novice with the correct tools.
Make sure the knock sensors are actually the problem before you attempt this job.
You might as well reco the starter motor if you plan on keeping the car for a while as it all resides in between the cylinders under the manifold.
