hi after putting fifty dollars into the tank the other day when i started the car the fuel gauge read completely empty and the japanese warning said less than 5 litres of fuel, while driving the car can cruise along not to bad but if any hard acceleration is required it starts acting like its running on fumes and missing . Any ideas guys? And if so a possible price, as this problem may be the straw that breaks the camels back for me.
Thanks

have you put ethenol fuel in it?

if yes that is the problem. ethenol changes the suspension of water in the fuel.

Run the tank to empty , put 95 or 98 fuel(no ethenol ) in and add 2 cans of techtron 5000 from a caltex servo.

ethenol will stuff the fuel reading.

i have a friend who runs ethenol and puts up with the faulty fuel reading.

it is water in the tank combined with the ethenol that makes the car run rough.

there is no benifit in using it, sure it costs less to fill up, but you do not get as many kms per tank. IE there is no saving on cost per km.
