Hey guys. Yesterday went to the petrol station filled up with 98 premium as I do every week. Jumped back into car, started it and it instantly stalled. I had to roll car out of petrol station. Continued to try over and over again. Engine fires and idles for 1 second and then dies. Managed to tow car home. I sat the car over night and started it this morning. Still having the same problems. Ive read heaps of forums in regards to it might be the fuel pump ecu and that I can by pass it by getting a paper clip and bridging fp and b+ in the diagnosis box. Did that and it didn't work! So I have taken all the boot lining out and the back seats and fiddled with plugs plugging to the ecu and fuel pump to make sure they don't have a bad connection. All seems to b plugged in. So does anyone else have any ideas as to whats wrong or possibly someone who lives in WA please come have a look for me.

Correct me if im wrong but if the fuel pump was buggered it wouldnt start at all would it ? I had a similar problem with mine. When you start it try pressing on the go pedal and holding it at revs. I doubt yours is the same problem but i fixed mine by turning up the idle.

Yeh when bridging you can hesr the fuel pump. Before the ignition is turned all the way. No Matter how many revs I give it on start up it dies. It's so strange as I was just driving it. Filled it up, got back into car and didny work! So strange.

From the underground tanks at the servo, most of the tanks will have some water in them, if they let the fuel level get to low they start pumping water. Not supposed to happen but it does. remove the fuel line where it feeds into the engine (not sure where on v8's) and hold it in a bucket and turn the key on. It should pump out some fuel(some one correct me if I'm wrong with the V8) Or disconnect before the filter and it should run freely.

That's a possibility as it was pissing with rain when I was filling up although if there was water the car would ignite and fire and the engine wouldn't turn over.... I think it's an immobiliser problem. Does anyone know where the immobiliser is?

Happened to be before, check the fuses and relays are all installed properly. Pull them out and have a look at the pins on them and clean them if necessary.
