Yeah i kept it 2-1 mostly because i wanted it simple but i may be regretting that now. Still have the option of removing cats and putting a new resonator in but thats another $300 away.. already spent $650 at Coby

Hmmmm well for what its worth, some food thought, this system below another I did in 2008, very simple, cost me $450 of piping + $200 mufflers

Slight 'hissing/rattling' sound was caused by the stock cats upfront I believe.

heh yeah, some time ago now!

Also many years ago I went with Peters advise on the exhaust system. Best way to go the true dual, if you like that deeper, stereo sounding rumble.

Yes for a V8 soarer, 2 into 1 into 2 to suit the rear bumper, but the split at the rear has very little effect on the sound.

Well since i'm committed to a 2-1-2 system, im going to go back next week to get the cats removed, 2.25 inch piping in its place, to a new large resonator in the middle and see how it sounds then

Cost another 350 to do that, brings total price up to 1000.

Rear mufflers are Coby units, 2.25 offset straight-through. The resonator will be from Coby as well.

I haven't had a chance to go back yet, lack of time and funds. Am still pretty unimpressed with the result and wouldn't recommend a diff-back system to anyone.

UPDATE FROM OP: Hey guys, i got the other half of the exhaust done now, got rid of central resonator, replaced it with a coby unit, got rid of both cats, replaced with 2.25 piping. So now whole system comprises of 2.25inch piping, one reso, and 2 rear coby mufflers.

I would still suggest replacing the single coby with two cobys and an x pipe.

It will sound much more refined and flow better, it would be a bit strangled with one pipe...
