As per the title, could anyone advise what they have found to be a tired and prove option to replace the AFM with some kind of MAF/MAP setup? I've done a bit of searching around but didn't come up with a definite answer...

I see there is the option of the 'MAP-ECU' ( http://v8soarer.com/map-ecu/index.shtml )

There's actually a place in NZ that can fit and tune these, so it could be a viable option.

Has anyone had any experience with those specific units or have any other suggestions?

Any full stand alone ecu can do it. Motec, Wolf, Haltech etc.

Oh yep, so the only extra hardware needed would be the intake air temp sensor and MAP sensor?

Full stand alone probably the better way to go in the long run...
