Hi guys. I have a Eaton M90 on a 1uzfe and I changed my plugs yesterday and the car ran terrible with 400rpm showing on the tacho. So I went and got a new set of leads as the old ones were old and really hard to get out,so I thought I may have damaged one or two. So today I replaced the leads, and still have the same issue,I then gap checked the plugs again and their perfect, while I had them out, one by one I tested them for spark in the chainsaw, and they are all fine. When I had them out, after starting the car once or twice, two plugs on each bank were black already and the other two looked fine?????? Could this be a coil pack problem?? It's been an expensive weekend so far..... Any help would be AWESOME!! Cheers.

have you mixed up the leads?

it is best to change plugs/leads one at a time to avoid mix ups

Sounds like a coil, disconnect the coils 1 at a time with the engine running. disconnecting 1 the car will stall, that coil is ok, disconnecting the other the car will still run, that 1 is stuffed.

Thanks ill try the disconnecting trick. Should I wear a volt proof glove?.. Its all a bit frustrating, as the car was going sweet until the plugs were touched for replacement. It's not mixed leads as i always do them one by one.

All sorted. It was a dodgy coil on the passenger side. Will be collecting and installing new ones tomorrow. Thanks for the input guys.
