Car needs 2 goes to start then needs a few seconds of rough idle before it settles down. Appears not all cylinders are firing at first. There's no alarms and once warm the engine will start first go. Thought at first that it may be the fuel pump but there's no problem other than the first cold start so is there something after the fuel pump, or before, that needs attention?

Main engine ECU has had an o/haul a few weeks ago.
Plugs, leads and dists were replaced late last year.
How can the fuel pump ECU be tested?
What coil Tom?
Wondering if the cold weather has anything to do with it.

to check the ecu short FP and B+ in the diag port and start /run the car.

maybe one of the ignition coils, one above the AC compressor, one above and to the right of the thermostat. the secondary resistance should be 12k ohms

Thanks Tom but I'll need to wait until my car comes back from the panel beaters; young guy backed out and damaged the rear drivers side quarter just before the bumper.

Any chance to swap test the main ECU just in case?

Overhauled then problems a few weeks later - may be unrelated. Or not.

Check that the engine ECU temp sender resistances are ok, located on the front coolant bridge.
