Car had been sitting around for around a year an a half while I was oversea. Started driving it again for about a week. It ran fine. Battery would die if It wasn't used for a few days (Alarm or door light problem I think) I went away for work, so I disconnected the neg battery terminal. While away a nasty storm hit my area. When I got home I went to reconnect the neg terminal and noticed water around the battery and belt area from the storm. In the car there was also a leak from the top of the drivers door frame, which looked like it could have leaked into dash area I turned the key and heard from what I can remember sparking and maybe ticking noises. It started, but hasn't ran right since.
=Blows white smoke from exhaust when warm. Has Strong petrol smell
=Runs super rich ($20 petrol in 10ish minutes) Unburnt fuel leaks from exhaust
My mechanic said the rings, but..
I had a quick search online through here and other Soarer/SC forums.Which mostly lead me to the ECU capacitors were fried, or dead ECU. Or Coil packs needed replacing.
Any other ideas. Or anyone with a ECU for sale. Also any recommended 1uzfe mechanics from the NZ/Hamilton region.
Thanks any help will be much appreciated

Very rich could be the ECU causing 2 of the injectors to stay open and flood petrol.
Probably don't try this, but if you get into the car, set it to IGN=on and let it sit for a few minutes, then it won't even turn over due to hydrolock caused by the flooding.
Proves a point though. You then have to pull spark plugs and tune the motor over to ejaculate the petrol from the cylinders.

Thanks for the info Peter. I just took the ECU out, opened it up. It looks tidy. No caps are leaking etc. I'll take it to get looked at tomorrow, after work, by someone who really knows what they're looking for haha

Unsure Tom. Would I need to get a compression test to tell. Or is there something visible, or a sound to look for. There is a definite loss of power when I put my foot down if that related to the cylinders.
