I have been told by a mechanic to check the Charcoal canister to be sure that it is not throwing off O2 sensor or leaking vacuum. Can anyone fill me in on any service or checks that I should be doing on my Charcoal canister? Do these have a service schedule and what can go wrong with them?

Year's ago some car manufacturers used to state a service life & a recommendation to be replaced, but I don't think I have ever seen someone fit a new one of buy one either ..

I suspected my charcoal cannister to be part of a situation I'm having at the last couple of months moment so checked into a fix with this ,having read the previous fix-charcoal-cannister put up there by Tom Richards it mentions the bottom hose and plumbing, well mine did not have the bottom hose on it so will be sorting that out quick smart now I have been informed of the danger and draw back ,seems the V8 uzz30 are a easy simple fix just pull hoses off, block either the A or B pipes can not remember which one so will double back and find out A or B and pump 43 psi air in to clear ,problem solve ,,

The little dark drum that sits in the corner, never really done anything to the many vehicles i have owned in regard to the forgotten fuel host. The clue is never overfill.
