The Soarer Bible (U.S. car) says that you should change a coil if the primary coil resistance is not around .45 but I have 3 Denso Toyota originals that are around the .9 cold?
I bought a Beck Arnley from the U.S. (Rock auto) about a year ago and it is 1.1 resistance.
All the secondaries are to spec at 12.5 resistance
What are the likely symptoms when the primary circuits are high like this and what is the resistance limit according to those who know on SC?

those resistance reading are almost zero. Short the probes on the meter together and see what they read. probally not zero. Subtract this reading from the coils reading for a more accurate reading.
your primary readings are ok. 12.5k ohms for the secondary is correct by my experiences.
This check will if readings are way out tell you the coil is stuffed. If they measure ok, there is still a small chance that the coil may be stuffed. It could break down under temp, or a bad connection could fail with vibration.
All up a good check, but not quite 100%(very close)

Thanks Tom, you were right. My resistance on my multimeter is .5, so that means I am in spec with my Toyota ones and just over with the Beck Arnley. No worries.
Hi Dan, I am just checking everything to ensure that there is nothing stopping my experiment with Aquatune working, outside of the aquatune unit itself (story is on the thread about my coolant temp sensor - CTS). I have just changed my CTS, which I am hoping gives me the returns that I am looking for on the aquatune unit. We will see.
