Hey fellas, I'm currently in the process of removing the power steering pump to be rebuilt, problem is I'm having no luck whatsoever removing the bolt holding the high pressure hose to the pump as pictured. I knew it required force but man, this thing won't even budge. Have soaked it in WD-40 & left for a day or two then went at it again with the ring spanner & a hollow metal bar & STILL nothing. However, the nut above has now loosened meaning I'm using two spanners & two sets of hands now for the job. Making it that much more of a PITA haha.
So to anyone else out there who has encountered this problem before loosening this bolt that hasn't been touched in 20+ years & found a good way to get it off with enough force, I'm keen to hear your solution. Because it ain't working for me!

Mick, That nut at the top which has come loose does have to come out when doing up a pump as it has a valve and o rings behind it, have a look at the tute on Soarer World, it has lots of pics. For the moment I suggest that you retighten the top nut, get another set of hands to hold it with a spanner, use a ring spanner on the outside bolt, give the ringy a hit with a hammer, that's how I did mine. hope this helps

G'day John, thanks for the helpful suggestion. That was the first method I tried before realising that it needed some brute force. Couple of metal bars/spanners & 2 sets of hands later we finally got the thing loose. Job done!
