Hi guys

I have a 91 v8 soarer it's had a few things done like full exhaust manual conversion etc.

It's been sitting around for the last 6 months or so not being used after having a gearbox issue. I was starting it once a month to let it run etc. I started it up a few days ago and fixed the gearbox issue when I started it it was idling mint and normal but when I rev it up it will rev fine and then die like it runs out of fuel and then will rev up again and do the same thing, if I hold it at a constant throttle position it will pulse the revs up and down . When I drive it it will rev to 2000rpm and then die for about 8sec then go again unless I change gear straight away it will be ok until 2000rpm again.

Done the fault codes and got 47 which is sub tps I got a price for a new one but it was $200nzd so just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. It was also really low on gas when it was sitting which I fort was the problem in the first place but after filling it up it didn't change.

Any help will be great.
Cheers

Sounds similar to my problem but on a 1jz, my ecu had blown caps and leaked onto the ecu pinout. Worth putting on the list of stuff to check. It had been sitting too.

short FP to B+ in the diagnostic connector and go for a drive. That will eliminate the puel pump ECU as it puts 12v direct to the pump.
