G'day, so the day after my road trip to the great ocean road it seems my car has developed a huge surge / lungeing issue under load. I'm having difficulty determining whether it would be fuel or spark related. The problem seems spontaneous, perhaps the fuel pump or fuel ecu is the issue?
You can still 'feel' this surge under slight throttle, but the more gas you give it, the more extreme it becomes. Any ideas?

Can you describe the phenomena a little more? Does it seem to die and then pick up again and then die again? If so, have you put standard 91 in the car? It could be the knock sensors pulling timing out when the car pings? If you have 95 or 98 in it then it may be faulty knock sensors? I have yet to prove this in my car with what might be a similar phenomena.

fuel filter hasn't been checked, [ive been lazy haha]
John - say you put your foot flat, it will kick down, accelerate a few kmh, and then it 'cuts' and the car lunges forward...accelerates a little more, 'cuts' again, lunges. It's quite an unpleasant feeling. I have a video here:
