Hi guys, just a few questions.

1. Why does soarer fuel pump run at 9v when cruising, and 12v when 'flat out'?
What benefit does this give?
Why not run at 12v at all times?

2. When fuel ecu is bypassed, what issues arise?
- it wont run at 9v, but what else?

3. How likely is it for a fuel pump to die in general, and will it die 'faster' after the fuel ecu is bypassed?

4. If bypassing fuel ecu lowers lifespan of fuel pump, how long do I have after bypassing fuel ecu?

Thanks for any info :-)

1/
noise is decreased and pump life increased at 9v and conversely flow capacity is increased at 12v

2/
if you crash the car and a fuel line is torn off it will continue to spray fuel all over your trapped body and hot exhaust

3/
it happens and sooner

4/
find a bit of string

OK so is that to say if you run it at 12v Constantly it will run too rich on cruise and low load conditions as the fuel pump is delivering a higher amount of flow?
