Just trying to get to the bottom of a few things with the car and discussed some possible issues with a friend. One of you guys could have a valuable insight Leaking PS fluid - no leaks under the car.
Few questions:
1. If PS system has a leak, can it cause the car to stall for any reason? 2. Please refer to this video. If this is leaking, can it cause car to stall or do that rev looping thing?. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWhMb1vAS9U
3.This video above shows a part which can fail. Is this the only likely explanation as to where fluid has gone? 4. Could fluid be blocking something, and it's simply 'clearing' itself over the next 5 minutes the car won't start as such - explaining why sometimes the car won't start, but does 5 minutes later? (I've also heard this is an ECU issue). 5. Can a power steering pump issue cause the car to stall right after starting the car - like a bad fuel pump ecu or pump itself etc.?
* If car decides to sit on 1100rpm instead of 800 due to iacv issue or whatever, you can hear the PS pump going at it constantly. It will only quieten down once the idle drops. Usually it will not drop idle lower til you turn car off again and start it 5-30 minutes later (with a 50/50 success rate). * Sometimes car won't start again(usually after driving a short while). Car will just stall out 5 seconds after starting. Seemingly, moving the steering wheel upon cranking car allows it to start the NEXT time after the time you move wheel. -
I think my non starting and rev loop issue is likely the IACV - but could PS system be the culprit instead? (or could it be both...hrmm)

So, turns out that the power steering system - when leaking - causes the Soarer to rev itself over and over and over from 1000rpm to 2200rpm when in park and neutral. Car also self accelerates. In fact, any vacuum leak in the Soarer can cause this - just like a bad ecu or iacv.
I'm going to have it fixed next weekend. Will keep threads updated

there is a vaccuum tube from the PS pump to the "throttle body" input assy. this vaccuum is to increase revs when car is on full lock. It can be removed and both ends blocked with screw/bolt.
