*The overflow bottle has a 'COLD' mark. *The cold mark is at the top of the bottle. *The cold mark is not in the middle of the bottle. *This suggests coolant should be full to the cold mark when car is cold. *You are suggesting otherwise. *You suggest the cold mark is irrelevant apparently. You claim I am wasting peoples time... Are you trolling me or am I missing something here?

| Gonna do a proper flush later today. Too much conflicting info here. Will update thread once done. Hopefully it's just air in the system or a bad overflow cap.

Don't touch the car just book in the mechanics for a pressure test and flush. It's not overly complicated but the mechanic will take the worries out of it for you. Also will find if you have leaks.

Rob, When you park your car up for the night , put a sheet of paper or cardboard under the engine, if you have coolant in your radiator the dye will show up on the paper, showing you where the leak is above. I just lost a water pump in a 6 litre Calais, the gauge showed normal until it suddenly said "Hot Engine" on dash when it had nil water in radiator, the gauge only shows you hot water, not the amount in the radiator. BTW I think you would be the unluckiest bloke to ever own a Soarer! PS if you have an undertray , put the paper between tray and engine

| Hi John, thanks for the advice. The only leak from the car is literally out of the overflow hose. When i fill it to the cold mark (which is right up the top), and close the lid - turn the car on - the liquid just squirts out the overflow til in a week or so there is no liquid left in the bottle. I'm only filling with 500-800ml of water over a week or two, so I assume radiator is still full. I also never overheat or even get 1 bar higher than normal temp. I've still got to flush the coolant - got distracted yesterday. Will put some paper down after doing that just in case I agree. I am the most unlucky person in Australia to have ever owned a Soarer. - But i still won't give up on it!

Tom, Stop being a dunce. Read the questions posted - and supply correct answers or keep silent. Don't just spread nonsense and troll forum members. I will do the flush correctly. I just needed to know where the level should be. Thanks.

Rob, people on this site have spent more hrs giving you answers to your posts than to any other individual. You do not listen, but just go round in circles and continue to ask the same questions. You do not focus on what advice you are being given, and continue to off half cocked. I am done with trying to help you.

I agree with Rob here. All you guys seem to do is troll him lol! Rob seems to be genuine and in need of help. You guys are not reading his questions properly, giving him wrong advice and are calling him stupid basically. lol. From what i've seen only 2 or 3 of his 200 posts have been correctly answered. As for my issue, I bought a new tank and got a flush, coolant is now sitting full in the tank. woot!

What other forum is this patient with someone who honestly looks to just take the piss with stupid repetitive posts. Most forums would have banned this character months ago. Don't take advantage of one of the best forums. One day someone might actually have an issue and no one will listen. You think this is hilarious but it's not. Soarer is my club. If you are genuine, which I doubt, start helping yourself. It's your car not anyone else's. Stop asking the same questions. Start taking action and stop trolling. If you fail to understand the most simple things take the car to a mechanic. There is no shame in it. But going over the same stuff no one gives a if you had no time to do anything. No one asked you. This is of course if you genuinely even own a Soarer. No one could be this dumb...

Yet another troll. What is wrong with you people? This thread for example, Rob made to ask questions. He was given 20 answers, all contradicting eachother. Same as all his other posts pretty much. All you have to do is read his posts. Give him the proper answer. Don't make him run around the block! If you guys did this to begin with, he'd be set by now lol! I like how all scotty does is troll also. I sent him a message a while back and he kept calling me Rob, insinuating we are the same guy. Wtf? Obsessed much. My mother always said, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all. I don't think that Rob is the troll here. The least you could do is read his posts properly lol!

I understand everyone's frustrations. Rob because he thinks people are having a go at him, and most other people for finding it hard to explain things to Rob. Rob, you say that as soon as you start the car, coolant goes out the overflow. Does that tell you anything? It tells me something, but I am also getting frustrated at having to do your thinking for you and then have you completely ignore it. If you have some sort of learning difficulty, perhaps declare it so we can try harder to be more understanding.

OK Rob do the same as i have done , take the over flow pipe that comes from the bubble tank and put the end in another bottle fixed in front of rad make sure the pipe go right to the bottom of new bottle. Fill the bubble tank to the top replace top , half fill the lower bottle do this when engine is cold .now when hot lower bottle will be pretty full when cold it will go back to half full.

And no matter what you think of the radiator cap just replace it ( & don't say the cap is good unless you have just replaced it or you have actually tested it with a proper radiator pressure tester & one that can actually test radiator caps ) its possible it could be a bigger issue but you say it doesn't over heat so for starters just replace the cap, as it sounds like you have done nothing except talk about the issue with it & all the talk & questions in the world is not going to fix anything unless you take the time & money to start going through checking things & replacing obvious things too..

Here is the deal. 1. The v8 soarer overflow radiator tank bottle thing should be FULL at ALL TIMES - as marked. If it is NOT full - you have issues. 2. The radiator cap was replaced and i have NOT lost a single drop since. 3. I am bright as f*ck. I'll tip your Mitsubishi over. Thanks

My overflow tank has had a crack in it since I bought the car 4 years ago. The level sits a half way always, I disconnected the sensor to get the clock back.

Hi max, you should get that fixed ASAP - it can't be doing the Soarer good... Although you have made it 4 years already lol! This shows the strength of worksmanship in these terrific vehicles. Give this guy a call and find a replacement cheap! Daniel Blackham - Import Nation. Sales Manager Mob: 0423 296 014 He works in VIC (Clayton i think) - and is a Soarer wrecker or similar. He also does ECU repairs. I'm sure he would have a bottle for you
