I have a set of Rush stainless extractors that I am finally getting around to installing but I am concerned about the extra heat impact on the plastic components in the engine bay and in the foot wells. This is due to my reading posts on this site. Can anyone who has installed extractors please offer their feedback. Thanks, Jan

I ceramic coated my Rush headers back in the day when I had my V8. But the reality is, even non coated extractors are better than the factory headers, which have the cats right behind them. Have you ever felt how hot a standard V8 gets after a drive? Open the bonnet and you'll see.
By just switching to a better set of headers like your Rush ones, I think you'll find will remove heaps of residual heat.
If you want peace of mind, ceramic coat them - but the reality is when you fit them, you'll not need to worry about the extra heat impact on plastic components, as the stock ones are a ton worse - and your engine has survived this far.

From my relatively short experience, the set of Rush copy headers which have been on my own car now for the past 6 or so months have not made any noticeable difference whatsoever in temp inside the cabin or under the bonnet, nor have any plastics been affected by them. Nothing but positive results after installation. Love 'em!
