Hi everyone, been a while since I have logged in. Just want to put it out there I have a late model v8 gt ltd which needed new front lower arm bushes, oh almost forgot not that long ago bought vlamos bushes and they were crap and feel ripped off. Anyway, I have decided to give super pro ago. According to forums and superpro site late model front bushes 46mm and 51.1 and early model 49 and 54.8. Well guess what the 46 and 51.1 are not correct , measurement are for 49 and 54.8 aka early model . According to Daniel savage from import nation he wreckens all same size . Any comments appreciated

Maybe I missed something, but that is the first time I have heard any suggestion that the bushes changed with the later models.

Dan has wrecked a lot of Soarers, if he says the bushes are the same I'd be inclined to believe him. My Superpro bushes are ok at best, but you're the first person I've ever heard flame vlamos bushes. As Peter said I'd be curious to know what it is you don't like about them?

The lower arm bushing sizes infact changed.
Later models after around 96 changed however being a used car and 20years old on most best to measure your arms as they may have been swapped. Ive seen this many times on soarers. People swapping to later model arms because they think there better condition, cars jumping gutters etc

Thats why its better to measure your arms that are in the car.

And daniel savage is southside jap he knows this and i would recommend him 10times over for parts than any other business think you got him confused with

91 arm partnumber 48069-29145

98 arm partnumber 48069-29205

Difference is because of bushes

Thanks for the response guys, yes so got the new bushes so can't wait to see how it drives. Peter in regards to vlamos bushes which were installed correctly with stopper disc , only lasted a few thousand kms according to the forums other people whom purchased the last batch got the same result . The inner sleeve separated from the rubber and caused the front end jumping when brake , not good when abs kicked at one stage felt it was going to launch

For the record of future searches.

All these bushes can be ordered through Toyota Parts, cheaper than Vlamos bushes, and likely not to have issues as you mention Mark.

I got a whole 3000 kms out of super pros before they started falling apart.
