And then what happens if you reverse them?
Nothing the computer would see the same value .
If you close the door and put your foot on brake engine running it wakes up the height computer save you going round the block. I will put the heights on for you.

I will be purchasing airbags this weekend if I can get around there.
If not, it will be next weekend. If for whatever reason it is not next weekend, I give up and relinquish my claim to the bags.
I will then have a set of airbags laying around for when mine pop which is probably near. I'm sure my front right has a slow leak now. It has been down 3 times in the past 2 weeks in the morning.
Maybe I can swap someone a working left, for a working front right? The guy at pedders tried to tell me the left side has a leak because the right was too high due to a bad sensor. All i know now is the drivers side sinks down overnight at the front sometimes, even after installing new sensor, but the car is much more level now and just needs about a 5mm adjustment one day by looking at it.
Not being rude here but Scott would not have the airbag for sale if he is holding it for me. It is somewhat rude to try cut in to another members 'business deal'.
However, if Scott wishes to sell to another member, that is up to him as they are his bags.

You have to act on it mate if you pay $50 deposit I will hold it. A lot of people these days sign up new profiles and just talk. But you have to take it all for that price and you have to act on it now. So don't leave me in limbo. If you are interested email me and put down a deposit.

Sent Scott 2 pm's for the airbags but no reply. Going to Pedders TT struts next weekend.
I have 3 bags for sale and 4 height sensors, a compressor and airlines. PFL strut leaks.
It's cheaper to put these TT struts at the price I am getting them for then buying bags. I'm giving up on airbags. I called Castle Hill toyota and they said brand new airbags are discontinued to their surprise.

Hi Vince,
I'll have the 2 rear bags which work 100%, 4 height sensors which work 100%, and the drivers front bag over the weekend.
Passenger front is hissing from top of strut. The drivers bag may be ruptured as it is not pumping. A mate claimed that it could be a valve in the compressor but I'm just going to coils. It will never fail like this again with this logic. Both front sides are down on the soarer right now. Backs are up.
So Vince, That's what I have. No passenger front left though. Seems the front left is the first to go on most cars. Now that Toyota don't make the struts anymore, your only real place I think is https://www.amayama.com/en .
I will add my opinion to this and explain why i chose to go to coils over airbags. A new set of $800 coilovers from ebay or wherever, eventhough cheap, will be 10x better than 25 year old airbags. The airbag itself may not have a leak, but what about the insides? The whole system is 25 years old now, the pipes, compressor, bags, and so on.
A set of new $2000 pedders coils will be unbeatable even compared to new airbags designed 25 years ago.
Why replace 1 corner with a 2nd hand bag for $300 when the other corner is going to fail soon too? And the next corner, and the next?
Replace the whole airbag suspension with pre owned coils for $300, or brand new coils for $800-$2000 and the car will last another lifetime. There are many horror stories of cheap ebay coilovers failing, but that's really just from misuse. General street driving and slight hooning if you ever had to, and the struts will last over 10 years.
It makes perfect sense to put all failing airbag soarers on a good set of coilovers now. If you want to replicate the air ride softness, just get softer springs. You'll miss out on the ride height adjustment, but I never really noticed it myself personally.
Before my passenger side started to hiss and the whole front end went down, the drivers side airbag was too high. It's possible that both bags blew. If you notice this, go to coilovers asap. JZZ30 and Supra coilovers fit and are found for under $500 pre owned everywhere.

I tried to keep it original also, but looking into the future and knowing the other 3 bags will fail, plus the compressor, then the airlines, and sensors, and on it goes, and the fact that there are no new airbags made according to Toyota, the only bags you will ever find are 16 year old clunkers.
I spoke to James or something from Castle Hill Toyota last week and he said "airbags are no longer in stock and are not made to my surprise, any longer".
It makes a lot of sense to go to coilovers. I admire your train of thought in keeping it original, the problem is simply that there are no 'good' airbags left, and none are being made. The last stocks have dried up.
Sad to say, but any Soarer on airbags is now inferior to a good set of new coilover suspension, unless those bags are newish, or of a new aftermarket brand.
There are a few people that supply air struts that will fit the soarer, but the price again is around $4000 for all corners plus the pipes and compressor, and they are aftermarket.
If you can find a wrecked 2000 soarer, maybe the airbags will fit? They are still 17 years old and would have done 150,000k's or more though.
So you can see why it's a good idea buying coilovers. Spend big and never worry again. Spend less and worry in 10-15 years. Some are even adjustable just like the Soarer's airbags (although done manually).
I'd love to have airbags but the price is just too much, considering ALL bags are now 16 years old at best. The ride quality of a good set standard suspension will beat 16 year old airbags every time in my opinion.
Good luck with the car Vince, keep me in mind if you need rear bags or sensors.

GOOD NEWS
Put the Soarer on Supra shocks last night, and WOW what a change. The car is a totally different thing. The stock 15 inch wheels sit snug inside the arches, there's still a coke can's height underneath and overall I could not be happier.
The car hugs corners now, almost no bodyroll, it is glorious. Very firm and comfy ride. I'm amazed at this.
After hearing so much about how good airbags are and how rough the shocks would be otherwise, I could not disagree more. The Soarer on lowered springs is a very pleasing machine.
The airbags are too floaty and when they are old, they are not a comfy ride. In saying that, I've been in many Soarer's through the years and I've never overly liked airbag suspension. But I've also never been in a brand new soarer, so all the airbags would have been ruined anyway, ruining a real comparison by the time I ever sat in one. Pretty sure that goes for everyone here too. Not many people would have ever tried a brand new Soarer airbagged car back in 1991 unless they lived in Japan or had connections. Don't knock a good set of shocks and springs. Airbags really are not as good as everyone makes them out to be. They are great when new, but within 10 years all the fluff wears off.
I got the Pedders Gas sports ryder shocks with lowered springs meant for the 95 supra I think. Perfect fit, perfectly stable car at all speeds now.
Just a quick note: If looking for suspension most retailers will try flog a set of 'coilovers' to you. Coilovers are pre assembled shocks with springs (that may be adjustable but serve no real purpose to the daily driver). Turns out that Pedders like to flog their 'XA extreme coilovers' or something for $2000. You can make your own set for around $600. You buy a shock absorber (the pole), and you buy a spring. You buy the top hat to bolt it into the car, and it's done.
Coilovers are a bit of a scam really, as they are being sold for daily driver cars instead of a pre assembled spring+shock+top hat. It is mainly for street cred that people buy coilovers. "Look Shaniqua, I got coilovers ho ho". Coilovers are adjustable usually, whilst springs+shocks are not. If you just get a good spring and shock combo though, you'll never need to adjust it in your life.
Coilovers worth $2000 are really only good if you plan to change your geometry weekly. It's largely a huge ripoff.
Anyone looking for new suspension to replace the airbags, just look up a shock absorber, and buy your own spring and top mount thing. All you need is a spring compressor kit which is bought for around $25 everywhere.
There is no need to be buying Pedders Xtreme XA coilover kits for $2000. The only reason people seemingly are, is because they do not realize they can build their own struts. Pedders do not like to tell people of alternatives , so when people ask for replacement suspension Pedders tries to flog their coilovers for $2000. Watch the guys eyes pop out of his head when you ask him how much it costs to assemble a shock and spring combo instead of buying his $2000 coilovers. "Damn, I just lost $1300 bucks to this customer who saw through my evil marketing plan, and the ride quality will be the exact same..."
By all means, if you have the cash go get some coilovers from Pedders or whoever, but logically you could just get a shock and spring set for under half price which will do the exact same job, and you will feel literally zero difference compared to coilovers worth $2000.

Tom , he is not very bright !! he just reads other peoples posts and rewrites it as though he knows what he is talking about , just by reading his posts and seeing the mistakes its clear he has little knowledge of Soarers etc.

A wise man once said "He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man."
Are you people trying to troll me? Is this a forum of trolls? Last week I was asked my age, as if some guy wanted a date! You could get sued for libel here... Libel is 'written slander'. You goofy trolls are libeling me.
Any questions I've asked on this forum, were asked for cross reference, or to make conversation if nothing else. You can bet your arses I know more than both of you combined about any Japanese car, any Soarer, any Calty designed car, or ANY car for that matter.
