Hey guys,

Have a very slight overheat issue I'm my v8.

Car gets up to temp fine but then goes 1 square over centre. Stays there for about a minute and comes back to centre. Only ever does this once each time the car is used and only once it has cooled down again.

Would this be an airlock situation? I feel like it only does this whilst the thermostat is closed, then the reading goes back to normal when the thermo is open a moment later.

Thermo and housing is new, temp sensors are new, ecu is refurbished, radiator and cap are new. There is literally nothing in the cooling system that isn't new.

Any advise would be great.

Filled up or topped up? You need to check it again. If it is not full it will get hot easier.

Confirm that the fluid is still full then we can move on to other stuff. Could have a new leak.

Possibility is the digital dash temp sensor is slightly out of spec giving a different resistance so you get an extra square on the dash.

Where did you get the signal wire temp sensor from?

Can anyone confirm what sensor 2 actually does?
I have mixed information of it being related to either the hydro fan or the cold start injector switch.
