driving at 60kph suddenly started to miss badly. (more than losing 1 cylinder) got home and have replaced both coils with a spare i had. No Fix. tried ECU in mates car, ECU is ok. Removed checked both disti caps and rotors all OK. Measured coil lead to disti, OK
Havent measured all spark plug leads as the miss is more than 1 cylinder
Looking to check the fuel filter/tank for bad fuel. Any other thought.

Take leads out one by one and start it and see if the miss gets worse. If you take out a lead and it doesn't get worse then that lead isn't doing much.

Sounds like leads, I just had the samp problem. Worse at operating temperature. Best to replace as a set or you will have the same problem in 3 months time. Insulation in HT leads breaks down with time & heat, some soarers still using 25 year old leads.

tim, i replaced them a few yrs ago, but still have the originals that were only replaced because i was doing a full service. I will swap them over and if it fixes the problem buy a new set.
