G'day all, i recently moved from Melbourne to QLD, Brisbane area a few weeks ago. Yet my car doesn't like the heat!! Most recently is the alternator killing the battery.
Not being familiar with places here yet i was wondering if anyone can give me details of a mechanic who can check it out for me and either rebuild or replace it. I'm in Mansfield.
My current alternator is 4yrs old replaced after the P/S pump went, is this an unusually short lifespan for the alternator?

New from Toyota in Melbourne i think. I've had a slow leak in the radiator top tank which may have sprayed onto it. Could this have a similar effect as the blown P/S pump?
Just checked the invoice though, it states "supplied and fitted C/O Alternator" is this reco'd?

Are you after a new alternator, or need a great mechanic . I use graham from Toyoteckniks, he knows his stuff and has done heaps of work on my v8, he is located in Southport
