Today I was test driving an excellent 4.0GT, the dash said it had 5L in the tank...
So Im driving along and put my foot down a tad, then the revs go down and back up, the car begins jerking around and the scroll display in the dash has a red background displaying some japanese words and then the car stalled, start it back up and it did it again.
Im guessing this is nothing and just low fuel? as I ran to my Honda, put 5L 96 gas into a 5L can and put it into the soarer, started up fine and didnt do it again. However the dash said 19L! It claimed 5L before and I put 5L in so should be about 10L, a few minutes later it did show 9L. Obviously the gauge needs a clean?

Yes, thought so.
Any way Im actually buying this actual one which I have put a deposit on, Its a 1991 4.0GT blue, 119kms, One owner and in very tidy condition.
However it was not very good running out of gas on the test drive!
Heres a picture of the interior.
Carpets tidy, door trims have no visible cracks, though Im sure theres some inside, the steering wheel, gear shifter and hand brake are immaculate. Best Ive seen for a long time! Its quite an example inside and out.

Oh! That Limited turned out to be dodgy in my opinion - the more I looked at it the more I felt why am I buying this tired high kms car for a high price?! Things that put me right off was the un-even Air bag height, the amount of problems inside the car such as worn seats, tired electric motors, a stuffed EMV, and broken plastic trims. There’s also the front bumper that was resprayed with paint over spray on the headlights. Not to mention the gearbox that made you jolt forward every time you put it into a gear!
In other words it was not a bargain at all $6250 when for a bit more I can have a immaculate uzz30 reliable 4.0GT, with almost 1/2 the mileage!
The interior in this one is flawless; it’s even better than the gold one I owned for a while! Not one visible crack on the doors trims.
Out side its very tidy the odd stone chips on the front but no dents or large paint scrapes from idiots opening doors on it! So I've decided I’m going to buy this one as its one of those superb examples that pop up every few months.
So glad I didn’t go for that darn Limited and this popped up!
Id try to get some bigger pictures but it seems like the size for pictures has been brought right down to 154kb!? They will be rather small due to this but still worth a look

Depends on the type of aftermarket head unit Mike.
By the way, regarding image quality. I take most of my pictures at highish res (1600 * 1200) and use Photoshop to reduce the image down to a 800 * 600 resolution and save with a quality of 7-8. Still keeps the image crisp and clear and looks just like what Peter has done when posted up.

Well the type of head deck Im referring to are those small one din shinny sony type things. Black ones look better but I still prefer the basic stock look in the dash.
Yeah, the Kodak programme Im using is not very good a down sizing pictures. Tends to make them un-detailed.

Once I get this Im Just going to focus on looking after it, keeping it tidy and replacing any things that need doing like suspension bushes.
Eventually I plan to find a spoiler, front lip, larger wheels and do the lukey exhaust set up Ive always wanted to do. But In my opinion the cars fine how it is standard so they wont be down for a wee while.
