From the consensus of prior threads & personal experience:
Put it up on blocks to save the tires Disconnect battery Dont drain the fluids from it PROVIDING coolent is good (prevents corosion in engine) - otherwise replace coolant with good anti-corosive fluid) Make sure vents are in the open mode to allow a little air to circulate in the cabin/bad odours to escape Keep it out of the weather with a dust cover on it, or a weatherproof cover if you don't have space.
Thats about all I can think of.

The main reason I ask is because I kicked it over for the first time in 4 weeks the other day and it sounded BAD. Like the bearings were running very dry for a few seconds when it first started.
What is the procedure for starting up after such a long rest? Do I just disable the fuel pump via a fuse or something, wind it over for 30 seconds to pump the oil pressure up, and then give it fuel?

Geord, that will just have been dry till the oil got to the top of the head to lubricate the cams and valves. I'd also recommend that you start the car, put it in drive and turn the complete driveshaft once a month, so all the seals and bearing get even lubrication. So the blocks that the car is on will have to be very stable. Preferably store under cover and not exposed to the elements.
