Hey guys!
Can anyone remember off the top of their head if S&LC in ferntreeguly use toyota oil filters or a generic brand, and if possible what colour are they.
The toyota ones should be larger than the generic ones. Is that right?

Genuine Toyota filters are Black with white writing, and are generally smaller than aftermarket ones

I am going to change oil filter, prefer OEM, consider better than aftermarket. Is it right by the way?

Need clarification on this topic.

Here
http://www.planetsoarer.com/filters/filters.htm 90915-YZZB7 has mentioned.

Here http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/51876/144546.html?1174965104 90915-YZZD4 has mentioned.

Found 90915-YZZD3 but they mentioned it is good for V6 and for V8 90915-YZZB5 is better.

Could I go with 90915-YZZD3 for my V8?

Thanks a lot!

Why not use a FRAM Filter ? PH3614 or the HP7 High Performance.

I was told MANY times from many diesel guys that FRAM oil filters are bad...

For my diesel I used WIX and Baldwin BD 28...
But Soarer is another story, will go with OEM.

Thanks anyway,

Wix, and Baldwin filters are as bad as Fram.
On your diesel, I would be using Donaldson, or Fleetguard if available.

On the Soarer, genuine Toyota.
Only my personal opinion.

Dimitriy,

Ring your nearest Toyota or Lexus dealer and ask em for the part number I've circled in Red.
It is the BEST oil filter for the 1UZ engine.

Thanks, Don! But I've got 90915-YZZD3 already. It is SO SMALL! Frankly saying I am afraid to put it on...Will call to stealerships and keep you updated.
