1, Correct. There is no means of adjusting air fuel ratios or ignition timing via the standard computer.
2, No, a dyno can be a very valueable tool for diagnosing problems, but it's not a necessity as such. - Car dealerships / workshops who didn't change their term of "tune up service" when most cars went from carby and dizzy's to EFI, I think are to blame for a lot of the misconceptions. - A "tune up" today for a modern car really isn't that at all, as they aren't adjusting anything. All they are doing is making sure everything is functional.

Dyno will give you a power output and an Air fuel ratio. if you think you have a problem with one of thesee, then the dyno will tell you that you have a problem. It wont tell you where or what it is though!

Matthew, your best off grabbing an Apexi S-AFC off ebay or from the forums and getting that put in and tuned. Good gains are to be had, 10rwkw is not uncommon from the v8's with an exhaust system.
Happy to help with advice and recommending workshops etc, but I'm not involved directly with Unichip anymore. - I moved up to Sydney to manage a Unichip authorised workshop up here, but lost my job at the end of April. - I start with Fraser Motorcycles (Homebush) as their After Sales Manager on the 1st of June, so if anyone needs a contact in the bike game (Ducati, Harley, Honda, Yamaha) I may be able to help. - Nice having a Duke as "company car" !!! hehe

can you get cheap helmets for the track rainer?
Matthew, i currently have an SAFC sitting on my bedside table, i am either gonna get it tuned soon in which case i will let you know the workshop and results, or i will sell it and you can buy it!
Avin, I haven't started work yet buddy !!! . You'd probably find cheaper helmets best online, but try some on first at a shop. When I bought my first helmet I wanted to buy a nice Shoei lid, but they simply don't suit my head. - AGV and KBC helmets fit me perfectly.

Fitting something that makes the car tuneable as mentioned is the go. All the above options are useful and there are yet more.
A tuning shop I will recommend from experience is Electronic Automotive at Epping. Best if you can get your "device" fitted first and then go and see them.
