My V8 has a case of missfiring i think, and its more noticeable when the engine is cold. When I start it in the morning, it trembles until it warms up at which point the trembles decrease.
By trembling I mean small vibrations that come and go, as if the the sparks aren't igniting at the right time or something. I have just recently changed my leads to new toyota ones so i know its not that and about 20,000 ks ago i had iridiums put it and there ok too (S&LC said so). Can buggered coils cause this hasle? Is it worth fixing?

Mine does the same thing. You have to give it a quick squirt when you start it and it's fine. If your plugs and leads have been changed, could it be the CSI?

Mine does sometimes. It only lasts about 3-4 seconds but it's very annoying! It's almost as if theres too much fuel going in or not a big enough spark to ignite it.
Peter the revs vary only for a small amount of time at the begining and only by 250rpm and by that I mean that the revs will be 1000 and after about 20 seconds they'll rise to 1250 after which the auto choke gradually drops the revs as the temp rises.
