i just bought a 91 soarer and i step on the gas hard and it goes and bogs down like u sudden loss of power for a sec and goes again and bogs down again. it only happens on hard starts. fuel filer or something?

its only when there is 1/4 tank of gas left. i got a fuel filter. can any point me in the direction of where it goes. is it by the tank? i cant see it in the engine bay

If the problem is fuel related, its most likely the fuel pump pickup filter/mesh, give it a clean. Dirt builds up around the lower parts of the filter, thats why it happens only when petrols low.
You need to take out the rear seats and dismantle the fuel pump mount on the fuel tank to get to it. I doubt its been cleaned in 10+ years of operation, like 90% of soarers out there.
