So I'm looking at getting a new exhaust system for my V8. Don't really know what I'm looking for besides the fact that I'll need extractors (anyone know where I can get them from?) a couple of hi-flow Cat convertors and some other stuff. Anyone know of a decent place in Adelaide that I can go get a quote from? Also appreciate any other info that anyone can give in regards to what I'll need, where I can get it and how much it will set me back! Cheers -ash

Ahhh thanks. yeah I 'd like to hear another soarer. I've seen a few getting around the city with a single and they sounds good but look crap. So I really want to look at a twin system with extractors.

Ashley, if you can hold out until August, am arranging a slight get together for all SA members. At least you will be able to see and hear the differences between everyone's set ups. For my girl, cats back cost me sweet FA. Not as loud as Peters, but I personally like her to have a grumble on acceleration and quiet on cruise. She is a true twin with no balance pipe. There are so many options, best if you could wait and check out all the varieties and then cost them up and make a decision then. I went to Complete Exhaust (but long time family friend owned it).

In August huh? Yeah that should be good. It'll be my first meet, although I'm a little embarrassed with the wheels on it, stock 200SX rims... don't ask, I don't know where they came from.

Order your extractors from Neil at http://www.rushimports.com.au/ I'm going for a set after I get my tax return and then off to AAA to get them fitted along with a convergent pipe. Gordon from AAA hasn't fitted them before but I know he'll do a good job. As for your wheels mate, offset it with a nice sounding exhaust!

Ashley, shoot me a PM with contact details if you would like to check my car out in the meantime. All this talk about exhaust means I have to go have a little blat.

Ok so I know it was a little off topic... but how odd is that I have 200SX rims... weird huh? So I've contacted Rush about the 1 5/8 extractors. Now I just need some quotes and stuff. I'll start at AAA Exhausts and go from there. Whats everybody running... 90db? So first step I guess is a BFI III. I got the egg cups tonight and hopefully get to start it next weekend. Don't ridicule me cause I don't have a BFI yet...

| no one is going to ridicule you here Ashley. 99% of people here are very friendly and very helpful (well maybe 50%is closer to the mark) I like your wheels better then stockies anyway Just tell your mum not to drift out of your driveway when she goes shopping, hoons laws may apply to her. PS nice car.

Ashley while your at it, if you do drop in to AAA, There's a place next door that can ceramic coat the extractors. I'm not sure of the price but it's worth looking into. Is that a 2 1/2 system neil?

90db? well I won't say what I think mine is let alone some of the others!!!! Wouldn't be embarrassed about anything, at the end of the day you have a soarer. No matter what condition, it is still better than most other makes on the road. I still have the original stock rims and caps, and don't really care too much about the rims and I still haven't done anything about the BFI (have a few different ideas that I want to try out) - more into the sound systems. Would definitely advise catching up with Peter N BEFORE buying anything. One of Adelaide's sweeter sounding cars. Now Peter, don't let the ego get too inflated. I am still curious to find out exactly why our cars sound so different. At least I can crank up the stereo and drown you out that way...he he. Anyway, will be doing a dry run soon and updating the cruise sheets, so hope you can make it. Most everyone is friendly and you can gain a lot of knowledge and contacts from these kinds of meets. Hope to see you in August.

Hopefully I'll get up to see Peter sometime next week. Look forward to meeting everyone... Everyone is really nice here. And yeah, the rims are ok, just if you get up close they have "nissan" written on them. which is totally sucky. But for the most part I think the car is in pretty good condition. I'd love to compare it to everyone else's and get an idea on what I can do to make it even better. And for the record, I think my stock stereo with the tape deck iPod cord kicks serious ass.

$320 + GST. That's unsighted extractors though. I'll take them down when they arrive, I ordered them this morning - 1 3/4 ones to boot~!, and get them properly priced, but he's confident that it shouldn't be anymore.
