I chewed through my last set of irridium plugs in 2000k because of a bad batch of fuel, so i havent wanted to spend heaps of money on plugs again. Just wondering what normal ngk plugs you guys put in your v8s that make it run okay.

How'd you managed to screw the plugs with bad fuel?

What sort of damage did it do to the plug?

It ate the electrode away. So a 1.1 mil gap became a 1.6 mil gap

Can't say I've ever seen a spark plug eaten on standard fuel. Have seen it with funny fuels like Nitromethane but not pump gas.

That's funny. I have been running my TT exclusively on boost 98 since december last year with no problems at all!! You must have got a bad batch.

Cheapest place was from Scifleet toyota at Kedron for PK20TR-11.

Supercheap occasionally knock 15% off plugs.

Yes some good information there. Note that Sparkplugs.com has NGK or Denso plug lead sets, too at about $86 or $92 US which seems a good price. (I hope it's just a mistake where they describe the Denso set as having 9 wires, though!)

I've got mine even cheaper from here:
http://www.autopartsway.ca/autoparts2/index.cfm?fetch=part~ID=1992~Lexus~SC400~240800

You can try the same place but for US customer.
If they do not ship to your place, send me PM I'll figure out how to deal with it.

Good luck!
