I don't actually own a Soarer so I'm a little out of my depth here, having said that, I've dealt with plenty of Soarer owners over the years before/during & after restoring/reconditioning or repairing their headlights. It was actually some members who suggested I register so here I am. I shall integrate myself quietly, & pop up from time to time & hopefully provide assistance to other members who wish to contact me regarding their headlights!

Unfortunately you are probably right Matthew. But I do enjoy restoring the Soarer headlights as they come up like new & its a much more affordable option than replacement, but when they are in poor condition, they really detract from what is essentially a great looking vehicle. Thanks for the welcome mate!

Hey Brenton, thanks for the welcome, "discount for club members" absolutely, as with my brethren on Fordforums.com.au (long time member) all a member has to do is mention this forum & they will be well looked after. If someone is considering having their headlights reconditioned, I have plenty of before/after shots of Soarers for their viewing pleasure.

Ah, if only you weren't so far away. I've "fixed" my drivers side headlight twice now, and it actually looks pretty good as far as clarity goes - when its not fogged up...
And now the passengers side is starting to get condensation in it too, on occasions.

You're not that far Matthew, I've just sent some AUXR headlights to Hastings NZ, I do a few headlights (new & reco) to/from that part of the world. As far as the moisture goes, you're definatley not an orphan, & 80% of Soarers leak (usually LH) but the polyurethane sealer I use is top quality & problem solved. Check your breather tubes (2 each headlight) make sure they aren't perished, they are a common cause of (minor) moisture entry.
