Hi everyone i love my soarer and im thinking of modyfing it to a 6x6 heres my rough sketch yes with 6wheel drive and 6ws based on a 32

please give input

im going to use the following
engine

1. 1uz with supercharger or 1gz-fe v12 with twin or quad turbo
2. transmission a761e 6 speed auto or manual t56 6 speed

3. front differential off a v8 aristo with 2 matching back differentials one modified to couple onto the rear diff for 6wheel drive

4. and another rear wheel steering rack on the back off a 32 model

the reason for this is becasue i want a family 4wd or suv somthing to go camping with and toe the boat and thought this way i get to keep my soarer its still looks mean and is a ute as well with big boot space and the 6wheel drive system will help pull my boat which weighs roughly 1.5-1.8 tonnes with trailer

do a budget ,and then double it ,is a rough rule of thumb!!!
the extra length may not be ideal for boat ramps.
I'm all for people completing their dream vehicle, but i doubt this will be as easy or as practical as you imagine.
would be cheaper to drop a soarer body onto a SURF/Landcruiser chassis. That way you will have the ground clearance and drivetrain all sorted from day one.
and such a project is still not going to be as practical as say , a camry wagon dropped onto a hilux chassis.
In fact, your project(unless you have the skills to do it all yourself) will cost so much to get "right", that i suggest you can afford to keep your soarer and buy a 4wd/suv as well. Hang, I can pick up a petrol Surf/4Runner for $6000 with ABS and airbags, or a Turbo diesel Nissan Mistral for $4000.
BTW it is actually really difficult to modify the middle diff to allow a driveshaft to run through it to the rear diff.
If you can do it, and can afford to do it, then go for it, but I strongly encourage you to have a even longer harder think about it.

Is it April again?

If this is legit and not a wind up, then I can see a bunch of engineering hassles:

I think you will need a complete custom centre diff housing to allow the rear diff to function. I believe it would be easier to find an old Army 6x6 vehicle and salvage the diff housing from that and modify it. But then it wont be an IRS diff housing...

If you wish to use a pair of UZZ32 rear axles, the first hurdle is finding them. Only 800 odd cars were made, and they all seem to be owned by enthusiasts. The ones being wrecked are generally used to save the remainder, and it is a pretty tight community in Australia.

Staying with the UZZ32 axles, you then need to construct a second set of strut towers and work out how to get all the linkages working. And working together. I think the control arms, toe rods, cradles etc are going to force the two axles further apart than you are going to want.

If you are serious about this, and you don't want to simply drop a Soarer body shell onto a functioning chassis, I think you really need to gut the rear end and make a custom subframe that houses all the diff and suspension components.

Engage an engineer very early to see what you are going to need to do to get this project on the road. There might be a bunch of hidden issues: it might become an individually constructed vehicle and there might be bunch of laws (emissions, collision etc) that are tighter now than they were in 1992 and will be hard to comply with.

Any rate, good luck.

It won't work; the active suspension system is designed around certain operating parameters and unless you reverse engineer the entire system and rebuild to suit your specifications, it just won't work.

On a car with 'normal' suspension, it would be expensive, time consuming and difficult. Wrangling with Toyota's Active suspension is something that, to this day, nobody has attempted; with good reason.

(What I'm talking about here is the control system; ie. how the electronics respond to road conditions)

i have pretty much the skills and an engineering shop to do all this

i would be using coil overs for my suspension
also i was looking at an army 6x6 land rover originaly but i thought id do somthing different and out there but yet keep the lexus feel and look about it
firstly im going to try find a beaten up 32 model and use by all means everything salvigable
as for the differentials i think i can machine up the back end of one to alow for another ring gear
well nothing is impossible just time and money

my biggest issue would be the paint job the enginneering farication side is least of my worries just the 6x6 awd system is the hurdle trying to work out the brakes on the rear because im running supra 4 pot fronts and supra 2 pot rears
im sure if i somehow made a break manifold to have alocated pressure to each wheel, no wheels would lock up on me

as for the height i will proberly raise this car around 2 to 3 inches with flared guards, ill have some drawings up shortly but still deciding on the height issue

anyhow thanks for the feedback thought id share my upcoming project

There's no point using a uzz32 if you're not using the active suspension. Also, the rear steering rack won't work without the active system managing it. I don't doubt your fabrication skills but fabricating weird parts isn't the problem. I don't think you understand but the uzz32 suspension is not a mechanical system; it is 100% electronically controlled and nobody has bothered to accurately map the control structure of the active suspension, which is what you'd need to do to make your modifications work.

If you used a uzz31, it'd probably be a fairly straight-forward job.

Just to make it clear; you cannot hook up some power steering lines to a uzz32 rear rack and make it turn in an expected manner. There are solenoids that need to be controlled; good luck making a system to control it. I'll be a graduating mechatronic engineer soon... I know how these systems work and there's no way I'd consider this and I love big projects; it'd be easier to design and build a new system from scratch...
