As a new Soarer owner I am still getting to know the car. I have a 1994 V8 auto, it's in very good condition body work & paint excellent, the engine & gear box have done 180K the suspension is in good order air bags work. The previous owner was an enthusiast & always kept it in a garage never spent a day or night out in the weather. He was the original importer (only Australian owner) I have had it parked in my garage for three weeks started it yesterday & drips of water/coolant? dropped down on the floor mat right where the drivers feet would have been. I hope someone here can tell me what the liquid is & where it is coming from.

There is one called silver seal and it's good stuff. I've used it a couple of times and it seemed to work. Heard many people using it to seal head gaskets. It still is a risk but it all depends on you. I wouldn't put it in my 1jz turbo with lower kms but I would have put it in my v8 Soarer because the 1uz is strong and I had done much worse things to it and it survived.

Hi Mike, Thank you for the bad news, now I know what it is. I am like you I don't like those sealers, they can stick to coolant galleries & even clog them up. I will do as you suggest & by-pass the heater core, for the time being. I will see if I can get hold of a heater core that will match if I cant get a soarer one. Peter your idea of just running the sealer through the heater core may work, but when it is all put back together the sealer may work its way through the rest of the coolant system. Thank you to all who have answered my question, I am sure I will be asking a lot more.

After tracking down a heater core & doing the massive job of taking out the old one & installing the new one, I discover a liquid on the floor again. It is not coolant! it is oily & I am sure it is brake fluid. it seems to be leaking into the cabin from the brake master cylinder. Has anyone ever had this happen in their Soarer?
