Moderators, I am wondering if there is anyway to curb the number of emails that are sent for a particular topic on the forum.

As an example I currently have my profile set to receive emails when new items are listed in the Parts for Sale section. This way I get to keep an eye out for some bargains that might crop up. However there are some items that I am not going to buy because I don't require that part. However because the topic has been flagged to notify of the new post, every post that goes into that thread then will get emailed regardless (even if I had not responded to it).
Now I know the easiest thing to do would be turn off that feature, but then I'll miss out on some parts that I might need and get earlier notification. Is there any way to have another button on the thread that then disables that specific thread from constantly emailing when that article is of no longer use to me?

Also is there a way to have a SELECT ALL button in the "Choose" options when clearing out the sections to be notified about in my profile? See picture below. I haven't been good and keeping this maintained, so it can take forever to untick every last thread. Due to the number of different categories, it would take a considerable amount of time to go through every topic and untick the threads I no longer read.
