i found the brake specs page that lists diameter. unfortunately over here in north america they sold the lexus SC models with the same rear rotor sizes as the soarer, but with different thicknesses.. im trying to order DBA4000 rears, already got the fronts...
he says they might be 12mm as is the lexus standard or they might be 16mm as he's seen for soarers but wants me to confirm, the model numbers for the DBA rotors are the same for each thickness...
can anyone let me know?
<$186.00> DBA 4746SL ROTOR, REAR, 307mm X 16mm, SLOTTED, LH <$186.00> DBA 4746SR ROTOR, REAR, 307mm X 16mm, SLOTTED, RH <$69.00> USPS International Priority Mail w/ Insurance & $8.00 KORE3 Int'l Handling Fee
theres what im paying, and my model numbers.. same as what ive seen you guys buy...

If the calipers & pistons are the same, I'd go with the thicker rotors - as long as there is still enough play in the pistons to fit the new pads in, it makes sense to use the thicker ones - they will last longer, be less likely to warp, and dissipate heat better.

Mike, it is not entirely clear to me from your post what you know and what you are asking. All Soarers use 16mm rear rotor thickness and you should fit those on your TT. I hope that was the question

lol david yes thats the question
i dont know why my brake supplier wanted to know but he did... apparently theres a service note over here for that model DBA rotor that says make sure you dont need a 12mm cuz they use them on the same cars.. and he didnt wanna ship till i found out
