hey guys, i've had my new dba4000 disks and endless pads on for a month or 2 now, but still haven't done any track days or even much hard braking. I have noticed that my front right disk is starting to go a light grey colour almost black in some spots. The disks were both cleaned in the same way and obviously the pads are the same on both fronts. Just wondering if thsi might be related to my brakes starting to squeek? and also it wouldn't be the rotors starting to glaze over would it?

i'll try and get a photo, and i'll check that the v clip is in there on the weekend but i'm fairly sure it is. I might just go do that peter will be some fun as well as good for the brakes hopefully

Lars, he hasn't done any track days or much hard braking so they should be pretty well run in. Some of the more sporty pads actually recommend a fairly brutal running in procedure though

I think the endless pads need a fair bit of heat during the break in to cure the resins properly. They should then be driven very gently, such as up a freeway to cool evenly.

yea the endless pads say to be fairly agressive straight out of the box and then let them sit for the nite after a cool down drive which i did. I just don't know why it's only the right front. My digi cam is playing up so i can't post pics, but hopefully soon

The 737 appears to be the part for the LS400. For a V8 the direct replacement seems to be 568 (275mm) but nobody needs V8 brakes . You need, as you say, the 4748 (this is all the dba catalogue) which is the 296mm TT front brake, provided you have TT calipers to make good use of them.
