Hey,

Well I got myself a set of celsior 4 pots for the front obviously. Just wondering if any members have pictures of their cars with celsior 4 pots over aftermarket rims??

I currently have 20's on my car (offsets +41), so I am presuming they will fit with little problems, but I am planning on downgrading to 18 x 9 at the front with a +41 offset on them as well but am wondering if the 4 pots are going to fit with these rims on, anyone got an idea??

It's not just the offset that determines if a wheel will clear the calipers.

I have Supra TT brakes and my first set of 18's - SC430 Pies, wouldn't clear and they were an offset of 40ish.

The rims need to be high disk to clear.

Matt.

Hey Steve, clearance is also dependant on rim design, not just the offset. Your best bet would probably be to find someone with these brakes and test fit your new or existing rims on one side.

Yeah looks like that's whats going to happen Vinh. I think I'm gonna downgrade from 20's to 18's but go a lot wider (18 x 9 front 18 x 10 rear) and I miss my old dished rims badly.

Love the dish....

I'm going through the same process now Steven and have found there's more knowledge here on the forum than at your local wheel shop. The shops I visited either didn't have a clue or didn't care to help. I'm going to make a template (probably out a sheet of plastic or similar) of my front disc with the caliper fitted to take to some wheels shops and try behind some wheels.

You will need to have approx 70mm clearance from the face of the disc to the inside of the spoke.

Just dont get wheels with to low an offset, mine have a +41 offset.

Yeah I'm sure offsets played a part in with installing these, but I guess I will soon find out.

I have 18x8s (50ish offset) and they required a 20mm spacer to clear the calipers...

Those look like Work CR Kai rims. Nice choice.

You can check with the wheel manufacturer directly usually rather than go via the distributor's as often they don't know.

I have the XD9's in a 30 offset in the front and they clear the Supra brakes with no issues.

Needed a 12mm hub centric spacer to fit with a low 40's offset.

Damn, I don't know what to do??

I'm looking at a set of Rays Arthur Exchange rims, 18 x 9 fronts and 18 x 10 rear.....

Do I bite the bullet and take my chance??

Where can you buy spacers from as well??

Most wheels should clear with spacers. Just make sure you get hub centric ones and longer wheel studs so its safe.

Repco/Autobarn/just about any tyre shop on the planet. They may try to discourage you though, on account of the legality of their use on road cars.

how much should I be paying for spacers and longer wheel studs? I usually avoid spending money at Repco as a matter of principle, but will if I have to.
