Yes we can. Yes they will. TT brakes fit 16" wheels front and rear. You could go for bigger brakes, if you wanted but there should be no need unless you plan very serious performance upgrades. Use Search for more information.

You'd want about 4.5-5cm from the disk to the inside edge of your rim to clear the TT brakes. There not that big as the pistons are on the inside and most rims out there would clear them no problems.

John, the lower the offset, the more the wheels move towards the outside of the car, effectively giving the wheels more leverage against the steering and allowing the road bumps etc to dictate where the wheels point. You get more tramlining in other words.

Peter, Thanks, I put the wheels on the car same day as I picked it up and knew nothing about offset until I saw it mentioned frequently on this forum . In saying that , there seems to be many opinions about the good or bad of excessive offset which I apparently have. Cheers

Mate I've run all kinds of way out offests on the street and on the track ..... no problemo - if you like to drive your car then it won't bother you at all. It's only hard core anal fastidious megalomaniacs like Peter Scott and Robert Hayden who get all "ohhh ohhhhh ohhhhhhh" pooncy about frikkin +50 offests. "must have +50" "ohhhh ohh ooh" "where's my pink hanky" "ooooooh ooh ooooh" "oohh no !!!!! theres a speck of dirt on my EMV" "oooooh ooooh oooooooooooh" !!!!!!!! So long as the tyres aren't scraping the guards who cares ???????? NOT ME !! - go and have the guards flared anyway - looks coooool

- Seriously though - when I borrowed REH's Stock +50 BBS Soarer Rims the car felt great. Very nimble and easy to turn. Also with +50's, she dosn't skate over rough patches of road.
Having said that - my +38's are a dream for holding it in tight on BIG corners, but do require a little more 'muscle' through roundabouts, and you just have to be aware of road surface conditions and drive accordingly. I like to manhandle the car and keep the reins nice and tight anyway, so wider offsets actually suit my slightly aggresive, overt driving style.

It's all relative I suppose; the car would probably still 'drift' a bit on crap roads, but the turning thing may not be as obvious to the UZZ32 driver. I heard it is possible to drive an Active 32 on just one wheel with Zero offset @ 180 kph whilst listening to 'girl from ipenema' AND at the same time reading the latest copy of Import Scene whilst drinking a skinny latte.
