I have a friend with a 1UZFE from a Crown fitted into a Toyota Hilux ute.
It has a factory TRC system still attached which wires into the factory loom he's running.
He is wanting to remove the system from the throttle body and cut it from the loom, the TB will be replaced or have the hole welded up from the removed valve...
By doing this will there be any issues or conflicts with the ECU in doing this? Is there any need to intercept the wires or do something after cutting it to avoid the ECU getting incorrect messages or something? This is just what the owner asked me as he heard from some one that it can cause problems if you just cut it all out even if its not currently working...

You will get an error message, but it should only be noticeable if he is running the soarer dash (i think).
There is no way it's going to do anything because it relies on so many sensors which won't be connected on the hilux (wheel sensors, abs, vehicle speed, etc etc)
Personally, i'd leave it on and connected but remove the butterfly so it cant do anything.

Cool, thats what I thought too Tia, I'll recommend that he just removes the electrical equipment, but not cut it... just roll it up and cable tie it some where out of the way to avoid any shorting (which could happen if you not careful!) and has the butterfly valve removed and hole welded up.
