Are stock TT and v8 brake lines the same or different?

Do you have ABS?

I have two TT's, one ABS and one without. They have different brake lines, and different master cylinders (one is tapped for three brake lines, the ABS only two).

I would hazard a guess V8 ABS is same as TT ABS, and the non ABS pair the same.

have a look at your brake master cylinder, if it has three "outlets" with brake lines it is a Non ABS car. You can further check this by following the lines. If they go directly to the wheel guard then again no ABS.

Alternatively you can look in the same place on the other side where the ABS unit sits( behind the left strut tower. It'll have a spaghetti arrangement of rigid brake lines going in and out of it. If you have this, then you have ABS.

And being the car is Japanese, made for Americans, it probably has ABS written on the steering wheel, sun visor or somewhere

However, if you are just referring to the flexible line from the chassis to the calliper, then it is the same.

Hmmm, that is what I assumed the question was, but yes, the hard lines are different.

Huh. I actually didn't consider he might be looking there. I've been working up and around the fire wall over the last few days and just assumed he was too.
