Hi, I need confirmation from someone who has done the upgrade. Is the caliper for the V8 and TT the same part with only the mounting bracket being different between the two?

Do they use the same pads?

I thought the TT caliper was a Direct bolt on replacement for the V8 front brakes?

If I may combine what people above have said into a single explanation:
  • The TT front caliper (and pads) differs from the V8 front caliper (and pads) but the rear calipers are the same part on both cars.
  • TT discs are larger at both front and rear.
  • At the front, you can fit TT calipers only with TT discs.

Thanks David, I knew there would be some confusion, thanks for clearing everything up.

I was wondering if it would be possible to just change the front caliper mounting brackets/arms and rotors but it seems like changing the whole lot is the way to go.

:-) In this case I only made clearer what the previous four had already said.

Yes, change the lot. It is indeed the only way to go.
