Soarer TT uses a bigger disc with the same caliper at the rear, so you do need to change front and rear to preserve ratios. However, it does not matter if you do not because the ABS has separate channels for each wheel, so balances the braking power front to rear in the same way it balances side to side when you have two wheels in the dirt. This would also apply to the Supra brakes. The issue is opportunity cost in total braking power, not balance in the ABS system. The ABS is self-balancing.

Everyone's saying how easy the conversion to TT brakes is for a V8, however I've just done mine, and there's an issue with the dust/splash shields, which are of course too small to fit the larger TT rotors. I wound up cutting the shields and taking them off - a bit of butchery I would sooner not have done, but as the alternatives were no TT brakes or removing the front wheel bearing holders I went that way. The conversion is great! The TT brakes feel way more responsive and powerful.

Took me less than a minute to break the spot-welds on the dust covers...

I have installed one front and both rear TT brakes...(still waiting for some pad retaining clips for the last front corner) and seems to be a pretty straight-forward job, dis-regarding the rear left corner handbrake not releasing properly.

Yet to give it a real drive, as I have different sized brakes on the front....not something I would think totally safe yet.

Thanks for your comment, Jason. I agree that disposing of the dust shields doesn't take very long, but my view of the difficulty of the job was that I don't like destroying parts to get them off, and if I hadn't done what I did it would have been much more difficult to remove the shields in one piece.

I used tin snips to remove a small section of the dust shield to be able to remove it. Then used a rubber mallet to straighten the curves a little.

Plus you need to dismantle the hub to fit them.
