I have tried emailing the seller with no answer but he otherwise looks reputable.
Obviously these rotors and pads will fit the SC300 but a Soarer TT? Pretty much the same car but I just want to check before I buy! If they do fit are the rotors the same size or smaller and will the pads fit in my calipers? The seller does not outline any details on size for his rotors either - another question I didn't get an answer to.
Basic question is are the pads / rotors interchangeable between the sc300 and a soarer tt? If so are there any size differences?

Here is the link;

Also I did some research on the used pads (Axxis/PBR XBG) and besides some extra dust (Generally the trade off for good pads that don't eat up your rotors) They sound like good pads! Has anybody here ever used them in conjunction with some good rotors and fluid etc?

Thank you all in advance.
Tony.

I would guess that they are a direct replacement for the V8, but not the TT, as the TT has larger front rotors.

I also remember someone saying that there is a difference from US to Japan in rotor thickness as well. I would wait until the seller gets back to you with some specs, then you can compare them to the brake specs page on this forum.

PBR are a decent brand. A mate has one of their brake packages on his track car.

as long the front rotor is 296mm (diameter) 32mm (thickness)

the v8's are 275mm (diameter) 28mm (thickness)

I think SC400's all had 296mm front brakes.

But the SC300's had the girly 275mm fonts.

Gee I really need to upgrade my fronts to some four pots in February.

I was wondering the same thing a while ago, but then i figured that the money would be better spent on tires and brake pads since i don't drive that rough anyways lol. Those prices are a steal though if they fit the TT!

Other way around Mike, the TT brakes are larger than the V8's and provide a noticable increase in braking power.

No, I recall reading factory SC400 V8's over normal JDM Soarers had the bigger brakes like the Twin Turbo Soarers and UZZ32s.

Can't recall where I saw read it.

Hmm, perhaps you are right Mike.

Certainly the Soarer V8's had the smaller brakes. Interesting that the US version got better brakes but less overall features.

Especially as americans generally don't care if their car won't stop.

(there isn't one with the Aussie flag)

Or turn.

With the exception of one or two high end models, American cars are the pits.
