Hi guys,

Not sure if this is a coincident or something is related. I had the battery replaced in my 1993 V8 soarer yesterday. This morning while on way to work I started feeling the brake pedal getting firm after braking a couple of times. And after more driving and braking the brakes just did not get released . The interesting bit is when I came back from work the car drove fine , the brakes were already released but then after a couple of K's the same thing happened. Any ideas what it might be and how I can fix it?

cheers,
varinder

g'day mate... sounds like they are seizing up .... i had a similar problem.

@ $30 for a rebuild kit and some labour to have it fixed or remove the caliper and take to a a brake shop for fix.

A single caliper is unlikely to cause behaviour like this. Its more likely to be master cylinder related.

Sounds like the Piston in the master cylinder is not releasing fluid. Happens over time when the fluid has not been changed on a regular basis.
