So I have a 1uz cressida with 300zx tt 4 pots on the front, and probably standard'ish brakes on the back.
Bled them all the other day, fluid hadn't been changed for what looked like years. Brakes felt nice and hard, as soon as you start the car they go spongey again. It still pulls fine, and they can lock up, but i also notice now the passenger side front disc is clean, but the driver side disc still ahs rust on it from sitting, which I assume means the caliper on that side isn't working... altho when i punch the breaks at speed it locks them up, evenly, i thought.

Probably stuck piston(s)?
Expose the pistons so you can see what is going on, press the pedal, both pistons should come out, if one doesn't - you have a stuck piston!
G-clamp the working piston and press the pedal, the stuck one should be worked out (eventually).
Get it out, clean it up and stick it back in. The little wire holding the rubber seal should go back in. While it's all apart you should grease up the sliders with some nice bearing grease.
There are more detailed instructions around than what I can conjure up!

Could also be a seized Slide Pin ? Try sliding the caliper on the slides.. Also check if the inside of the drivers side is still rusty ? if its pulling the caliper from one side, this can indicate a sticky slide pin ( i think its called ? ) .
Could also be the rear brakes providing the sponginess ?

they're not upside down ya retard... haha
My rears seem fine. When i say spongey, nah it doesn't go to the floor, but you probably have to push the pedal half way for it to get nearly full pressure, probably a quarter before it really starts to brake?
I'm gettin them checked out tomorrow by a mate tho, at least he'll be able to tell me
Car hasn't been driven for at least a month and a half, been sitting around so...

I'm having a slightly similar problem myself - I can bleed the entire system confirm absolutely sure there is no air anywhere. The pedal is firm and there is no squishyness.
As soon as I turn to ACC or start the car, the pump primes up the nitrogen accumulator and it progressively makes the pedal softer and softer, then eventually its squishy again before I test drive. Brakes work well, just you have to use a firmer than usual foot to make them apply completely.
Maybe I need an accumulator regas?

Actually, I got told my master cylinder is going, very slowly. He gave it a year before it would need replacing. If you push on the pedal slowly it will eventually go to the floor, when idle.
Horray for more $$ to spend on car hehe
There was a bit of air in the system still which was bled out, but yer. Thanks for suggestions
