Can be a combination of factors, such as pad compound, heat and improper bedding in.

I get brake shudder all the time with my slotted rotors and EBC Green Stuff Pads.

If your pad has worn the disc unevenly (common on TT brakes due to 2 pistons on one side) then it is easy to get shudder - just like I have.

I recommend upgrading to celsior brakes instead of TT if brake shudder is a concern or go or the Supra 4 pot setup :-)

I get brake shudder when I brake hard or am driving fast too. After I got my rotors machined they worked a charm for about 2 months then the issue started acting up again. My rotors are pretty much minimum thickness anyways so the next time I get new pads I will get new rotors as well.
That might be 1 reason why you get brake shudder, uneven/worn rotors.

Warped rotors . I used to get shudder @ the drags from 180 down to 100ish . So i binned them and fitted some RDA slotted rotors and new Pads and havent looked back :-) NO shudders at all from 200 down .

yeh ive got some slotted RDAs and trws on the way! i suspect my steering rack bushes could also be contributing to the shuddering effect. might have to change em soon

Can also be caused by ceased or stiff caliper slides.
