Let me explain. I have a 1uz Cressida. 300ZX TT front brakes (which i'm led to believe came with abs on the Z) 4 piston calipers. I don't have abs cause my brakes lock up, but is it possible to hook up abs? Either with a Z ABS controller or a toyota or other aftermarket one?

Cheers

Anything can be done but the challenging part will be ensuring you can get an abs speed sensor in the wheel hub assemblies.

Are you using the 300ZX hubs or the Cressida hubs with the rotor's and calipers adapted? I would use whatever system is matched with the hubs.

Matt.

You'll need

ABS Mater Cyl (if its different)
ABS Unit
ABS ECU
ABS Wiring
ABS front hubs + sensors
ABS Sensor installed in gbox

It should all work after that.

(btw, ABS compatibilty has nothing to do with the calipers)

Then installed by someone willing to take responsibility for its operation (or pending malfunction)

Wouldn't bother with the Soarer ABS system as it is kinda anyway. I find the non-abs brakes in my JZZ31 better for panic stops than my UZZ30 was - of course the car weighs a little less I guess. If you do go ahead with it, use something from the late '90's at the earliest as ABS improved loads during the 90's.

I investigated installing SRS into my V8 and no one wanted to install it nor take responsibility for its operation. Not even the pros :-(
