Guys my brake pedal sinks into the floor when at the lights or when stopping for a prolonged period and the car lurches forward...now obviously dangerous...my first impression is that its the master cylinder seals are giving way and cannot hold pressure for prolonged periods of time....
So...am gonna try and get a reseal kit...trouble is they cost $220 bucks from Melb City Toyota and apprantly no one has ordered any from victoria...ever...surely there are guys out there like me with this issue...where can i go....what can i do...any feedback will be appreciated...
I mean its only pieces of rubber...what a rip...neway waiting on info...thanks

No idea on the cost of a kit, but it does sound like the master cylinder seals to me.
Have you looked at the Castle Hill Toyota website, or rang them? I know they are in Sydney, but at least you'd get a price comparison, if nothing else.

I would buy the rebuilt kit... I dont know what soarer master cylinders are like once they have been resleeved but i can tell you on a 300zx they tend to leak about a week later.
Also try the spare parts at Gary McMillans in Preston they should be able to help you out.

If you can find a good used one to put on then that is good just to keep it on the road a little bit longer. While that happens if you can find a rebuild kit that is cheaper to rebuild your old one that is even better. Once done put it in and your done

Does any one know if...the master cylinder from a Non Abs will fit in a ABS car...just checking...i know some of them had the ABS unit seperate from the brake cylinder and the later ones combines the brake set up together with the traction and ABS just wondering is all...also what part of the unit contains the master cylinder replacement seals...etc...as shown in the pic
