Hi Guys, Im having a few problems. Im getting warning signs on the dash. 1.Brake System 2. Brakle Fluid and while driving along the ABS flash. I have to put it in neutral turn off the key and turn it back on again. If i dont do this when i stop the car and get back in minutes later the battery is flat.
Now there is a pumping noise under the bonnet, when i put my hand on top of the brake fluid bottle i can feel it vibrate. This stays on when i turn off the car and flattens the battery.
Does any one know what this could be. I took it to a work shop and was told it was the alternator, turned out it wasnt.
Would low brake pads keep the abs pump on? I am starting with changing the brake pads first.

have you try;d toyota they might have some information when things go wrong with my soarer i go to toyota and they give me heaps of information so try them
Well the brake fluid warning is pretty self explanatory, low on brake fluid, possibly either because :
1. A leak
2. Pistons moving further inward because of normal pad wear and causing level to drop a bit.
Just top it up.
Sometimes it can be the pump for the nitrogen canister running to pump the gas back up, because I believe some soarers don't have a brake booster but have a Nitrogen canister where compressed nitrogen is used for brake assist.
When the canister gets low on charge, the pump will cycle more often to get the gas pressure back up. That might be the noise you are hearing.
Just to make sure, are you hearing this pump noise even when the car is off?
Since you get the ABS light flash, there might be error codes stored. Search around for instructions on how to check the codes and let us know what error codes there are, if any.

Your ABS/TRAC pump is running and flattening the battery. Check the 3 relays in the box on the left side of the engine bay to see if one of these is causing it.
