This is probably a really DUMB question, but I guess that it would be nice if it works...

Is it possible to fit the 2-pot calipers/rotors/etc from the front of a TT to the rear of a TT?

/me readies flame-suit!

Nope. Rears have park brakes built in as well.

And for that same reason, the rear rotors are actually slightly bigger than the fronts, though the pads are smaller etc.

Cool. Thanks Peter.

When looking at the parts diagrams, I was thinking that the park brake might be the only thing that really stops you from doing it, but the diagrams don't make it bleeding obvious.

I was actually thinking about this the other day... I was thinking of putting the V8 fronts onto the rear, after i put the TT ones on the front!
But then i remembered the park brake :-(

It probably wouldn't help much anyway as the front brakes take about 70% of the load under brakes, which is why they're bigger.

Dan, define "bigger". The front rotors are actually smaller.

More pad surface area for kinetic to thermal energy dissipation?

Yep, plus more piston area. Plus the brake system is biased to apply more pressure to the fronts etc.

I was just giving Dan a hard time :-)

And no doubt he will have some other better answers.

What about on the manual soarers? The fronts look larger
